Nova-Kem LLC Completes High Tech Precursor Production Expansion Project

Milwaukee, WI (June 12, 2015) – Wisconsin based chemical precursor entity Nova-Kem LLC just completed a six month expansion project in their Albany Georgia facility. This expansion entailed the construction and installation of several of their patent pending reactors used in the synthesis of hexachlorodisilane (‘HCDS’), a precursor chemical used in the manufacturing process of silicon wafer chips for the semiconductor industry.  “We are doing all that we can to keep up with the global demand of HCDS,” and this expansion puts us right where we need to be for now,” said Nova-Kem Founder and CEO, Reno Novak. “This, coupled with our soon to be completed facility in Korea, a collaboration with our Korean based partner, Wonik Materials Ltd., will not only address future demand, but will provide a unique competitive advantage of having  full HCDS production facilities in the two most active semiconductor regions in the world. No other company can make this claim.”
